See I was not kidding when I said I am going crazy with all the summer fruits. Looks like I only post fruit-y recipes these days but I really can’t help it. I end up buying way too many fruits over the weekend and then spend the whole week adding them to recipes. Now this summer fruit salad is the result of an overloaded refrigerator! Like 2 days back, I couldn’t even put a glass inside my refrigerator, it was that packed with veggies and fruits and not to forget the left-overs. That’s another problem of food blogging, there’s always so much food and as a result the fridge is always packed! You guys have any suggestions how to deal with this?

So since my fridge was overflowing with fruits I decided to make this super easy Summer Fruit Salad with Honey Lime Dressing. I thought of using all fruits that I had on hands so I ended up using blueberries, blackberries, cantaloupe, peaches, plums and mango in this salad. However later I realized that I also had pineapple and bananas which somehow missed my eyes while making this salad. I would have definitely used the pineapple if I had seen it before! Anyway the bottom line is that you can use whatever fruits you like – strawberries, raspberries, grapes would be great too.

If you are a fruit lover like me, then you must give this summer fruit salad a try. Obviously you need only like 5 minutes to make this. Of course if you try to get extra fancy  (like me! :/) and make melon balls, then it will obviously take some more time! I got this melon baller a while back and finally ended up using it. As you can see in the pictures, I clearly need more practice to take out those perfect melon balls. A youtube video might help! Simply toss all the fruits together in a bowl, pour over the dressing and enjoy this refreshing summer fruit salad. I enjoy this salad more when it’s slightly chilled. But that’s a personal preference, it tastes great either way!

  • The total amount of cut fruits in this recipe was around 4.5 cups. Of course this may vary depending on which fruits you use and how you chop them. Summer Fruit Salad with Honey Lime Dressing
