I absolutely love Valentine’s Day! And it has nothing to do with love but everything to do with food. I really don’t think we need a special day to celebrate love but because I get to make delicious desserts for this day, I adore it. Plus everything is red and pink and I am the biggest fan of the color red so I go all the more crazy. My mom tells me that when I was little, literally everything in my closet was red. Well not much has changed now, I really try to buy other colors but whenever I go to a store the first dress/top/jacket I like is always red, like always! In fact it has become so funny that whenever we go shopping this is pretty much our usual conversation. Me: Isn’t this so pretty? Wow! Hubby: hmmm Me: What hmm, don’t you think it’s nice? Hubby: well it’s red so what do I say! You like it not because it’s pretty but because it’s RED! Me: ? ? You guys get my obsession with red now!

Another thing I am obsessed with is chocolate. I eat chocolate in some form or the other everyday. I can’t help it, if I stay away from it for a few days I start getting withdrawl symptoms. And since valentine’s day is all about red and chocolate it’s most definitely one of my favorite festivals! And now you guys know why! To start things off, I thought of sharing a super easy Valentine’s Day recipe with you guys. This No-Bake Chocolate M&M Tart is so super easy that you can even make it in your sleep! Few ingredients and an absolutely show stopper of a dessert ready in no time! And of course I know how much you guys love no-bake treats so this just felt like the perfect recipe to share.

To make this tart all you have to do is crush the cookies. I used graham crackers but you can oreos or any other cookie of your choice as well. And then press the crumb in the pan to form the crust. Make chocolate ganache, pour on top of the crust and decorate with valentine’s day M&Ms and that’s it! I hope you guys give this tart a try this valentine’s day and impress your loved one!

Method Using a food processor crush the garahm crackers along with granulated sugar. You can also put them in a ziplock bag and whack them using your rolling pin. Transfer crumbs to a bowl and add melted butter to it. Mix till combined and the crumbs feel like wet sand. Transfer this to your tart pan. I used this 14 x 4.5 inch rectangular tart pan here. Press the crumbs to form the crust, use the back of your meausuring cup to firmly press the mixture into the pan. Place the tart pan into the refrigerator while you make the filling. Meanwhile take a bowl and add chocolate chip and 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter to it. Set aside. Add heavy cream to a pan on medium-low heat. You have to heat the cream till it’s warm enough. You don’t want to boil it, just when you see small bubbles on the sides, remove it from heat.

Pour this cream over the chocolate chips. Leave the bowl as such for 2-3 minutes. After 2-3 minutes the chocolate chips would have melted, take a whisk and whisk till you have a smooth ganache. Adding butter is optional but it makes the ganache glossy/shiny. Once the ganache is smooth, take out your prepared tart pan and pour the ganache on top of the crust. Immediately sprinkle the Valentine’s Day M&Ms all over.

Chill the tart in the refrigerator for 4 hours or preferably overnight. Once it’s set, cut into pieces and enjoy!

  • The total prep time includes chilling time of 4 hours.
  • Tip : To get clean slices, boil some water in a pan and then dip your knife into that hot water. Wipe with a kitchen towel and cut slices immediately. No-Bake Chocolate M&M Tart
