Once chilled, add the chopped fruits to the custard and gently mix everything well. But on our lazy days, when all you want is something fresh and quick to make, fruit custard is one recipe that instantly comes to mind. If you ask me, fresh fruit custard is one of my all-time favorite summer delights. I can gulp a cup of custard down at any hour of the day. The best thing is? Once you realize how simple it is to create one at home, you could find yourself doing it more frequently than usual. Pour the whole milk into a heavy-bottom saucepan. Bring it to a gentle boil on medium-high heat. Stir occasionally. Once the milk has boiled and begun to foam, add sugar and stir well for 1-2 minutes until it dissolves. Cook for 5-7 minutes, until the custard thickens. Then, remove the custard sauce from the heat and cool to room temperature. The custard thickens as it cools down. Note: If you want a thicker custard, cook for a few more minutes. Then cover and refrigerate for 2 hours to chill. While the custard is cooling, wash and chop the preferred fruits into bite-sized pieces. Set them aside. ★ Like this recipe?
