Ingredients
Kale - You can use any variety of kale for this kale chips recipe, such as curly, Tuscan, or red Russian kale. I have used organic curly kale as they are much better suited for chips. Extra-virgin olive oil - is ideal for roasting, adds richness, and helps to crisp up the kale in the air fryer. Seasoning - I have used only garlic powder, salt, and pepper for seasoning.
How to Make Kale Chips in Air Fryer
Firstly wash and clean the kale with water and dry them with a paper towel. Next, cut the leaves from the thick stem and roughly tear the leaves into bite-sized pieces. Drizzle some olive oil on top of the kale in a medium bowl. Then add the garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss until fully coated. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Add the seasoned kale to the air fryer basket and spread them in a single layer (cook in batches if required). Air fryer them at 375°F (190°C) for 4 minutes or until they are crisp and done but not burnt. Shake the basket halfway through. Crispy Kale Chips are ready (they will crisp up more as they cool).
